One Born Every Minute starts tomorrow. The preview has already shown women on their backs, screaming their heads off and the midwife saying something to the effect of 'this will be the most terrible pain you will ever feel in your life'!!! No wonder we have a nation of women literally petrified to give birth and demanding c-sections. Why do women have to pay to come to active birth antenatal classes to be told to get off their backs in labour and to give birth!!? Why can't the midwives at their birth just tell them that for free - I know I'd be out of a job but I'd give up my whole job just for every single women to have a better birth experience than they are getting at the moment. Let's start the count of how many are on their backs - or rather it might be an easier count to track those who are not!!!
